Teacher of Religious Studies and History
After finishing her first degree in history at Oxford Brookes University she completed a masters in the history of medicine and then a doctorate in ecclesiastical history. Dr Tye spent two years teaching an undergraduate history programme covering medicine, politics and industrialisation before moving to S6C. She teaches across history, RS philosophy and ethics, and law and is dedicated to giving students a broad experience of subjects in order to better prepare them for future study.
Dr Tye has yet to find an area of History she is not interested in; from Richard the Lionheart to Elizabeth I and Margaret Thatcher she has helped to design a varied course that will give students a genuine experience of all aspects of the discipline.
