A Level results success for S6C’s first cohort

Congratulations to all of our students for their hard work over the last two years. As our first cohort they have performed incredibly well with a 99% pass rate in their A Levels which is above the national average. Two-thirds of our students achieved A*-C grades and we are delighted with the performance of students in both academic and vocational qualifications.

We would particularly like to celebrate the outstanding progress made by students such as Mikala Gurd who achieved 2 As and 2 Bs and Daisy Vanderputt who achieved 2 As and a C.  In vocational subjects, students such as Lauren Brown, Jade Reilly and Mia Banks are also celebrating achieving the highest possible grade of Distinction* in all of their subjects.

Principal, Simon Firth, said “I’m extremely proud of our students and their achievements.  Not only have they performed well in their subjects, they have also helped to create a vibrant new learning community for Salisbury.”

“I’d like to thank the staff, students and governors for their determination and hard work over the last 2 years.”

At least two thirds of students will be going to university this September with 5 students taking gap years and applying to university next year.

S6C students are celebrating Russell Group university success with students going to the University of Southampton, University of Leeds, University of York, University of Birmingham and Cardiff University.

S6C students have also been successful in gaining places on competitive degree subjects including Audiology, Paramedic Sciences, Zoology/Microbiology, Adult Nursing, Pharmacology, Primary Education and Press & Editorial Photography at Falmouth University.

We’re also delighted that many of our students will be going to our local universities; the University of Bournemouth, University of Winchester, University of Portsmouth, University of Chichester and Bath Spa University as well as the University of Southampton.
