S6C is proud to offer the BTEC National Extended Diploma in Esports. This is an amazing course which helps you directly enter the Esports industry but also allows you to progress to university to continue your studies in esports or a related field.
The Extended Diploma is the equivalent of studying three full A Levels so this is a full programme of study. The course is a combination of video game development, esports coaching and business and marketing. You will complete the following units:

As part of the course you will compete within British Esports Association and their various tournaments. This will see you and your team compete with colleges and universities from across the country.
It helps if you are familiar with esports games but this is not a requirement, however a willingness to become engaged in the industry is essential.
Global esports revenue for 2020 will grow to over $1.2bn and this is a year-on-year growth of 16%. Esports is big business. And it’s not going anywhere. This course will help you navigate a career within the industry or help you progress to university to either study esports or subjects like marketing, video game development, computer programming, sports management and coaching and so much more. Studying esports will develop your skills in branding and marketing as well as coaching techniques for local and global esports teams. Or perhaps you are more interested in watching esports? In that case we’ll also study a unit dedicated to shoutcasting and help you brand yourself as a professional shoutcaster for online consumption.
