Welcome back to the summer term!

The next few months are dominated by exams and it can feel overwhelming at times. Our teaching staff have drawn together these revision support documents which are excellent resources:

Please take your revision seriously and set aside enough time to cover everything. Every minute that you spend revising is worth it and although it may feel as though you will forget everything, if you have revised sufficiently, you will succeed!

Hot off the press! 2024 Exam Timetable

Thank you to everyone for approaching your Applied Science, Applied Law and Sport vocational course mocks with maturity. Don’t forget to reflect on the experience to see how you can improve your preparation for the real thing.

The last interviews for prospective September 2024 students have now taken place. We received a record number of applications this year but it’s not too late if you still want to submit a late application. We do still have places available on some courses: APPLY NOW

Last week our year 12 students took the opportunity to visit the University of Winchester for the 2024 UCAS Discovery Fair. It was great to see so many of our students taking part and looking at the options that are available to them after S6C and I really hope that they all came away enthused by the exciting opportunities now available in higher education.

Wiltshire Council parent workshops and adult learning opportunities
These are all free to attend and some focus on supporting children’s wellbeing in the home. Please do take a look and I hope there is something here that is of interest to you.

Rebecca Anderson – Pastoral Lead
University and Apprenticeships
– Any student needing to do an interview for apprenticeship, employment or university can come and see Rebecca to arrange some guidance and practice;
– Any student needing advice on volunteering, work experience, or wider engagement, to prepare for strong applications, should talk to their teachers, tutor or Rebecca as soon as they know what area they may be interested in;
– We offer a full support service for those applying for apprenticeships, but it has to be responsive to the job market, so there are no set dates for the different stages. This means that students need to show a high level of initiative and independence, but we are here to help and we expect to be involved – we can help search, check applications, and prepare for interviews.
